Choreographer Devin Pullins began his professional dance training at the age of 16 in Chicago, Illinois where he was accepted to the Chicago Academy for the Arts. While there he studied ballet, jazz, modern, pas de deux, as well as many other styles. While at the Chicago Academy for the Arts, he also studied with Lois Baumann and Heidi Renteria at Stairway of the Stars studying jazz, ballet, tap, hip-hop and competed around the U.S. in several dance competitions. Upon Graduation he enrolled at the prestigious S.U.N.Y Purchase Dance Conservatory in NY. While there he studied with many well-known teachers from around the world and joined the Purchase Dance Corp. During his time at S.U.N.Y Purchase he performed works by George Balanchine, Merce Cunningham, Kevin Wynn, and many others. After receiving his BFA in Dance, he joined Donald Byrd/ The Group Dance Company and toured around the world for 3 years. He has also worked with The Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, Cirque Du Soleil, R&B artist Destiny’s Child, Day 26, Danity Kane, Aaliyah, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Tristan, Elisa Monte, River North Dance Chicago, Diddy-Dirty Money, Dance Theater of Harlem Ensemble, Nina Buisson Contemporary Moves, Rhapsody James, E-Moves, Christina Aguilera, Peridance Company, Millennium Dance Company, Vortex Dance Moscow, North Shore Dance Company, R&B singer Brandy, & Jazmine Sullivan Reality Show Promo tour. He has also choreographed for the international T.V. show So You Think You Can Dance in several countries (Israel, the United Arab Emirates-Dubai & Russia) and several international commercials. His film credits include the 2003 film Stuck On You (Merle Streep-dance coach), 2009 film Fame as a dance consultant, & on the 2010 film release Burlesque as a dance coach and consultant. Mr. Pullins has taught at several different workshops around the world in cities such as Paris (France), Milan (Italy), Chelaybinsk (Russia), Rostov-On- Don (Russia), Buenos Aries (Argentina), Bermuda, Hawaii, Dubai, and many other cities in North America. He has also performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada & 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Mr. Pullins has taught & choreographed on the dance department at Hofstra University & Joffrey Ballet School in NYC, both as a teacher and a choreographer. He currently works in artist development at Epic Records working with several artists as choreographer and working on some musical and film/television productions. Mr. Pullins continues to dance professionally as a freelance artist & most recently at the 2017 Clive Davis Grammy Party.
