Aparna Kumar has been a licensed Doonya Instructor since February 2014. She has taught over 200 Doonya classes at numerous studios in Washington DC and New York City and thrives on motivating people to reach their fitness goals while having a great time doing it. Aparna has been involved in Indian dance in one way or another her entire life. As a child, she was trained in the classical Indian style of Bharatanatyam and was part of several dance troupes in high school and college. In 2012, Aparna discovered Doonya and fell in love with it because it combines her passion for Indian dancing with high-cardio fitness. Doonya, the Happy Workout, has brought a lot of happiness to Aparna’s life, and her classes are always energetic and fun, just like her.
