Sifa received her formal dance training at The Brooklyn Music School and The Dance Theatre of Harlem where she cultivated her passion for movement, rhythm and performance. She furthered her education by attending Hunter College in New York City where she majored in Dance and began developing Balletik Teknik, her own contemporary dance hall and body strengthening technique. Sifa is certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates and is certified to teach Zumba. She is currently on staff as an instructor of dance and dance fitness at Peridance Capezio Center in New York City. As a committed member of the dance community and a freelance writer, Sifa covers the Tri-State Area's major dance events like The Dance Theatre of Harlem's Annual Gala at which dancer/singer/actress Vanessa Williams was honored, The American Cancer Society's Dance Against Cancer Event at which New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Alvin Ailey and Ballet Hispanico's brightest stars performed for a cure and Savion Glover's performance at the Joyce Theatre. Sifa has choreographed for Ferdinand Dejesus, Peridance Capezio Center, 60x60 Dance, The Annual Dance Parade, Roses are Dance/Columbia University and Movement Research. She has danced for Derek Mitchell, Hot 97 showcases, Ferdinand Dejesus, Celita Rainey, Dana Foglia, Mishay Petronelli, The Box Cabaret and more. Sifa is also the founder, choreographer and producer of Movement Graffiti, a dance film project she created in September 2012 . She is eager to take her education, performance and experiences to new heights with love, humility and consistency and dedication.
